Rowe Trucking LLC is a family-owned and Detroit-based trucking company that is committed to safely and efficiently hauling heavy construction materials throughout southeast Michigan. For more than 50 years, Rowe Trucking has upheld its commitment to provide exceptional customer service.
We provide a range of hauling services for heavy construction materials, asphalt, topsoil, concrete and other materials. Rowe Trucking’s vehicle fleet includes quad and tri-axle dump trucks, dump trucks with asphalt shoot, and a vast network of owner operators to haul asphalt, dirt, sand, gravel, and other aggregate materials. Our strategic mapping ensures economic on-time transport and delivery for construction, excavation, and demolition projects.

Meet Rhonda
As the Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Rowe Trucking LLC Rhonda Rowe provides the company’s strategic direction as well as directing its operations. Under her leadership, Rowe Trucking LLC continues to grow and diversify the business, strengthening efficiencies and leading an exceptional team of highly talented brokers and experienced drivers.
Ms. Rowe assumed company leadership from her father, Arthur Rowe, who started the business in 1967. In 2007, Rhonda reorganized the company under its current name and continues to lead its accelerated growth in the marketplace. She has secured major projects including the M1 Rail, the former J.L. Hudson site and the new Wayne County Jail.
Our History
Rowe Trucking LLC is the brainchild of Rhonda Rowe, who gained trucking industry experience from the Arthur L. Rowe Trucking company founded by her father, Arthur Rowe, in 1967, during a time when Black owner operators comprised just seven percent of all truckers in the United States, according to Census data.
For 40 years, Arthur successfully ran his trucking business in Detroit. Following a brief retirement from the business, Rhonda had the idea to revive, reinvent and join the family business as its chief executive officer. The new Rowe Trucking LLC also provided Rhonda the opportunity to play an active role in the revitalization of her hometown of Detroit—the city she loves—and build on her father’s legacy.
Building a Family Legacy
In 2007, Rhonda became a second-generation aggregate hauler providing solutions to a wide range of hauling and transportation challenges. Rhonda’s passion for the trucking industry ultimately inspired Arthur to come out of retirement to join his daughter in the family’s new business venture.
Today, Rowe Trucking LLC continues to bear the family name and is now where Arthur manages the company’s maintenance department. The family-owned business is further positioned for world-class competitiveness and has established relationships with industry leaders including Angelo Iafrate Construction, Barton Malow, Cadillac Asphalt, LJ Construction, Walsh Toebe Joint Venture and others.
